The Mr O was created to reproduce the special and beloved sound of the original phase shifter pedal. Released in the early 1970's intending to replicate the sound of a Leslie rotary speaker, the phase shifter turned into a widely popular effect that influenced the sound and role of the electric guitar ever since. After many hours of careful listening, playing, and tweaking, we finally arrived at a design that earned its colors and has the elusive magic of this historic pedal. Mr O stays true to the original's six phase stages while packing much more inside of a smaller, pedalboard friendly footprint. Since the original had just three speed switches and no other adjustments, we gave the Mr O extra flexibility to satisfy the needs of a modern instrumentalist seeking the tones of this vintage classic.

Features

• Speed controls the speed of the LFO. We carefully replicated the unique shape of the original's LFO waveform at various speeds. Unlike a lot of modern phase and modulation designs, the shape of this wave changes slightly with speed adjustments. Balancing the amplitude and offset of the waveform at particular speed intervals are key to getting Mr O to feel like the original.
• Adjust Depth to achieve a more or less drastic phase shift. To the left, it can be quite subtle producing a slight phase shift to give your tone a bit of an evolving, "chewy" feel. To the right it becomes more intense and the unique waveform of the original becomes apparent.
• The Color knob controls the amount of feedback regeneration, to add a bit more or less “whoosh” if desired. At the lower end, the tone is smooth and warm. Turning it up high creates sharper resonant peaks.
• 4/6 button to switch between the original six phase stages (up) OR decrease to four stages (down).

To most closely simulate the sound of the original, start with the Speed, Depth, and Color knobs pointing straight up to 12 o'clock with the switch UP in the six stage mode. You will now be closely emulating the sound of the original in the medium speed position. Adjusting Speed to the far left simulates the slow speed position, 2-3 o'clock simulating the fast position. We included a little extra to the far right for those who like to push the limits and like faster speeds in the vibrato realm.

International orders may be subject to destination countries sales, VAT or import tax. Please contact your country's duty center, prior to purchase for more information regarding these fees. Flipside Music will not reduce listed price to avoid said duties, taxes, or export/import fees.

Return Policy

New Items:

We honor a 14 day return window on all new items.

If you feel the need to return an item, it must be in the sellable condition, no paint chips, scratches or broken parts. Sellable Condition means that the product(s) is in exactly the same condition as it was when you received it. The item must have all the original packaging, included accessories owner’s manuals and blank warranty card, no sign of wear or abuse.

Used and Vintage Gear:

We honor a 3 day return window on all used and vintage items.

All our used gear is tested for functionality prior to being available for purchase and therefore only carries a 3 day approval period. If you would like to make a return just let us know within the 3 day window.

Damaged or Defective Items:

We visually inspect all items before shipment. If you believe you have received a damaged or defective product, please contact us immediately so we can work through the issue. Guitars, basses, and other equipment returned to us with pick marks, "buckle-rash", or any other damage or evidence of use may be subject to a 20% restocking fee, repair charge or disqualification of return. All items must be returned to us in the same condition they were when shipped to qualify. We reserve the right to refuse any return if we determine the item has been misused, modified or damaged by the purchaser. If the item turns out not to be defective upon inspection, we will have to deduct the cost of shipping from your return credit.

Shipping Charges incurred through the return of an item:

You will be responsible for the shipping charge for the return of your item, and if your item qualifies for Free shipping on its way to you, this shipping charge will also be deducted from your refund. If your item is determined to be defective, we will pay the shipping charge, equivalent to ground service.
