Exploiting an algorithmic similarity, Old Blood Noise Endeavors unveils Bathing, a liminal delay.

This effect is not a classical delay, or a modulation, or a multi-tap reverb, but it is also all of those things. Taking inspiration from what they called “phase repetition” in their Dweller pedal, Bathing takes this difficult-to-describe effect and highlights all its magical features through a wide control set, low noise floor, expansive stereo field, and with features like MIDI, expression control, and presets to store and recall your favorite liminal delay sounds. And here’s some more in depth details of how Bathing works:

The main sound of Bathing is determined by a delay line divided into many stages called all-pass filters.  

Time sets the central delay time.  

Stages sets the number of all-pass stages the delay runs through, from two to twelve. At very short time settings, this increases the intensity of the phase/flange effect. At medium or longer time settings, it creates more repeats both before and after the central delay time.

Feedback sets the feedback of the delay, taking the output and feeding it back into the input. This can create longer trails and increased resonance. 

Filter applies a combination of low pass and high pass filtering to the output of the delay, as well as the delay feedback loop, with the darkest sound to the left and the brightest sound to the right.

The LFO in Bathing affects the character of the delay repeats. When time is very short, it acts like a modulation (think phaser or flanger). When time is longer, it moves anywhere from a single repeat at the central delay time out to a scattering of many diffuse repeats around that time. In MISO or stereo modes, the LFO is offset on the left and right to create a variety of stereo effects. 

There are three controls over the LFO : Rate, Depth, and Shape. 

Rate sets the speed of the LFO. Set all the way down, the movement of the LFO is deactivated.  Set all the way up, it enters ring mod territory. In envelope modes, Rate sets the sensitivity.

Shipping Policy

Flipside Music ships items within 2 business days of purchase. If an order is placed after 5pm, the next day would be considered the first business day.  We do not ship on the weekend. Fedex or USPS will be used to ship your purchase, if you have a preference for another shipping provider, please contact Ike or Dylan and we will work with you and the company you choose. Items ordered after 12pm on Fridays MST will be shipped out on the following Monday (shipping services don't pickup on weekends). 

Purchase confirmation emails will be sent after transaction is complete. Sometime these email can end up in a spam folder, depending on email provider and any applied filters. So check there if you don't see a confirmation email within 15 minutes. 

Flipside Music does ship used gear Internationally. Please contact us if you have questions regarding a specific item. we can provide a shipping estimate. International orders may be subject to destination countries sales, VAT or import tax. Please contact your countries duty center, prior to purchase for more information regarding these fees. Flipside music will not reduce listed price to avoid said duties.

Most new items will not ship internationally, this includes Yamaha, Fender, Charvel, Gretsch, Strymon, ect.

Return Policy
Return Policy

New Items:

We honor a 14 day return window on all new items.

If you feel the need to return an item, it must be in the sellable condition, no paint chips, scratches or broken parts. Sellable Condition means that the product(s) is in exactly the same condition as it was when you received it. The item must have all the original packaging, included accessories owner’s manuals and blank warranty card, no sign of wear or abuse.

Used and Vintage Gear:

We honor a 3 day return window on all used and vintage items.

All our used gear is tested for functionality prior to being available for purchase and therefore only carries a 3 day approval period. If you would like to make a return just let us know within the 3 day window.

Damaged or Defective Items:

We visually inspect all items before shipment. If you believe you have received a damaged or defective product, please contact us immediately so we can work through the issue. Guitars, basses, and other equipment returned to us with pick marks, "buckle-rash", or any other damage or evidence of use may be subject to a 20% restocking fee, repair charge or disqualification of return. All items must be returned to us in the same condition they were when shipped to qualify. We reserve the right to refuse any return if we determine the item has been misused, modified or damaged by the purchaser. If the item turns out not to be defective upon inspection, we will have to deduct the cost of shipping from your return credit.

Shipping Charges incurred through the return of an item:

You will be responsible for the shipping charge for the return of your item, and if your item qualifies for Free shipping on its way to you, this shipping charge will also be deducted from your refund. If your item is determined to be defective, we will pay the shipping charge, equivalent to ground service.
